Blizzard gear up for Shadownlands reveal event

-Blizzard Entertainment is preparing to give fans a better look at the next World of Warcraft expansion, Shadowlands, in the form of a live stream reveal event. The stream will air on June 9, and executive producer John Hight, along with game director Ion Hazzikostas, will show off even more of the expansion. It will be one of the first major in-depth looks into Shadowlands

The World of Warcraft: Shadowlands reveal stream will start on June 9 at 9 AM PT (12 PM ET/5 PM BST), and you can watch it on the World of Warcraft Twitch or YouTube. Due to COVID-19, Hight and Hazzikostas will host the event from their respective homes.
Shadowlands is the eighth expansion for World of Warcraft, and it was first shown at BlizzCon 2019. It is scheduled for release sometime during 2020. The expansion will take players into the realm of the dead, but, unlike any expansion before, it will also reduce the level cap to 60 from 120.

Although the team at Blizzard have stated that World of Warcraft will not be following in the footsteps of other MMOs by making the jump to consoles, there will be controller support for Shadowlands

Blizzard were planning to announce more information on the latest expansion at BlizzCon 2020, but this year’s convention has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they are instead hoping to host a virtual BlizzCon event in early 2021.
